Have you all seen the “Thinspiration” blogs going around? For those of you who don’t know, this is a trend where people can share inspirational photos, quotes and show their own weight loss progress. Many people are concerned with the how this maybe affecting younger girls and their eating habits. Many of these blogs show healthy weight loss and some of them are pro-ana or pro-mia( anorexia/bulimia). As I looked through pages of photos and different foods, I couldn’t help but find some of these blogs inspirational. As a person who works out daily, I know how much motivation it can take. With the Olympics being on, I find inspiration in watching the athletes. Not saying that I am condoning anything leading to eating disorders, but just as some of these blogs may lead girls astray so many of them can teach a healthy life style.
