Brian McConnell is 100% Country, but raised on Rock n' Roll. Discovered in Los Angeles and mentored by Van Halen front man, David Lee Roth, and The Doors guitarist, Robby Krieger, who is featured in McConnell's new video "Hollywood 911" on YouTube at youtube.com/supertonelive. The video for "Hollywood 911" was recorded on the Sunset Strip at the legendary Los Angeles clubs "The Viper Room," and "The Roxy Theatre".

McConnell considers himself a country music songwriter first, but there is nothing country about "Hollywood 911". McConnell shows his roots and produces an epic rock anthem for the ages. Big guitars complemented by Krieger's monster solo, would make even Eddie Van Halen proud! "Robby and Dave sort of mentored me through the L.A. club scene early on" says McConnell. Krieger joined McConnell on stage at sold out performances such as "The Roxy Theatre", "The Key Club", "The Viper Room", and the House of Blues on Hollywood's famed Sunset Strip.

Q:  Where do you like to write?  

A:  We have a studio in our house where I also rehearse, sort of my man cave. The decor is all rustic country that Rachel designed for me. I even have hay bales, saloon doors and a horse saddles!  

Q:  What is your writing process and where do you get your inspiration? 
A: I write as it comes to me. I'm infamous for waking my girlfriend up in the middle of the night with a song that came to me in a dream.  I write about life experiences, where it has taken me, and where I hope to go!   

Q: What can we expect from Brian McConnell in the near future? 
A:  I will be opening for Dustin Lynch this summer and will be touring most of the east coast, as well as playing some festivals in the Mid West.  I will also be releasing more songs and videos, and launching an alcoholic beverage called "Redneck Margarita" with some celebrity friends of mine attached. 

Q: Do you have any advise for the youger generation and kids that want to do what your doing?  A: In the past all you needed was talent in this biz, but now you need talent, an image, brand and tons of luck!  Luck happens when preparation meets opportunity, so my advice would be, stay patient because it takes time. Get all your ducks in a row and be the best you can be before your release anything, and then...GO!!  A manager once told me that she wouldn't take on any new talent unless she knew they were in it for what she called, the "10 year plan".  In other words don't expect to make any money or get anywhere fast.  If you don't have patience, or if you don't take rejection well, this isn't the business for you! Take me for example... 15 years later I'm still lining up my ducks... stubborn ducks! Lol.
