Tampa, Fla.-(970 WFLA)-The Hillsborough County Medical Examiner's Office says the death of 31 year-old Chad Wolfe in a Tampa International Airport elevator shaft was an accident.
The M.E. says Wolfe died from a complete dislocation or two upper vertebrae and a spinal cord laceration caused by blunt trauma to the head and neck. The report also says Wolfe had an "oil-like substance" on his hands.
Airport police believe the Pennsylvania man forced open the elevator door to gain entry and then fell down the elevator shaft.
Police had reported in March that Wolfe had been drinking before his accident. The full autopsy report, including the toxicology results, won't be released for several more weeks.
